Welcome
The "Tumor targeting & radiotherapy network" of the Cancéropôle Grand-Ouest is glad to announce its fourth workshop for young researchers (PhD Students and Post-Docs) in Europe. This forthcoming workshop will be dedicated to the Biology of ionizing radiations from the 22nd to 25th of September 2010 in Berder Island, France.

Previous workshops were focussed on "Quantitative Imaging and Dosimetry in Nuclear Medecine" and "Targeting and Imaging of tumor microenvironment".
Our main objectives are to organize a European workshop which brings together biological, imaging, radiochemistry, toxicity research aspects of radiations and gives young researchers the opportunity of a first talk in a European meeting. In order to stimulate intense discussions between young and senior scientists to preserve fruitful exchanges, the total attendance is limited to a maximum of 60 persons.
The symposium is organized into 5 sessions that would be held on 2.5 days. Each session will start with an invited expert summarizing the essence of a selected aspect of the biology of ionizing radiations. Then, it will be followed by 6 oral presentations from young researchers, based on original data, and selected from proffered abstracts.
30 travel grant awards are available for young researchers (PhD students and Post-Docs). Each award consists of complementary registration to the workshop, accomodation and up to 250€ to cover travel expenses. Candidates must submit an abstract and must be selected as speaker in one of the scientific sessions.
Deadline for abstracts submissions is set for May 7th 2010
Deadline for registration is set for June 14th 2010
